Burraga Apartment sits just above the roof of a large neighbouring building, giving it an unusual outlook that feels both surprisingly private and unmistakably urban. The project takes its name from Burraga, meaning a clearing, reflecting the idea of a calm opening carved within the intensity of the city.

This sense of calm shaped the apartment into an oasis within its dense surroundings. The original developer-driven two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout was reconfigured into a one-bedroom residence with a flexible guest room for a couple and their art collection. The rationalised plan prioritises light, openness and clarity.

Sheer curtains form a soft threshold to the exterior. When open, they immerse the interior in its urban context; when drawn, they create a private and serene retreat.
